The MAMA BLESSING (also known as a BLESSING WAY) is a unique and moment, lasting around 4 hours. Intimate and deeply symbolic, it is specially designed to celebrate the mother-to-be and surround her with the love and support of the women who matter most to her, as she prepares for the birth of her baby.
An unforgettable gift to give or receive at the end of pregnancy!
The Mama Blessing is inspired by ancient traditions, particularly the BLESSING WAY, a ceremony passed down by the Navajo people, which marks important life stages, including childbirth.
Here, the goal is not to replicate this ritual in its original form, but to RETAIN ITS ESSENCE: the act of taking time to gather, support, transmit, and mark an important moment.
This ceremony is inspired by several global traditions, and I find it important to emphasize this with RESPECT AND GRATITUDE.
It’s not about appropriating a culture, but about welcoming what ancient wisdoms can teach us: caring for one another, marking life transitions, and creating bonds.
When an idea circulates with respect and kindness, when it brings people together instead of separating them, it becomes a bridge between humans. And today, these modern rituals allow us to bring simple and strong values back to the center of our lives: solidarity, recognition, listening, and support.
In our individualistic Western culture, focused on performance, where everything moves quickly and we move through stages without truly living them, rites of passage have disappeared. Over time, we’ve lost the habit of celebrating significant transformative moments.
Yet, in many traditions around the world, major transitions – like pregnancy and the birth of a child – have always been accompanied, surrounded, and honored. They were and continue to be occasions to gather, support, and transmit wisdom.
These are profound, sometimes life-altering moments, deserving of attention and honor.
The MAMA BLESSING is a modern, simple, and authentic way to give meaning and value back to this major life transition. It’s a celebration without pressure, without expectations, but one that is lived with the heart: a moment to feel surrounded, supported, and recognized.
Opening in a circle, relaxation, and a moment of centering
Symbolic rituals (candles, connection thread, bracelets ...)
Sharing, testimonies, songs, gentle words
Creation of a shared object or collective memory
Little acts of care for the expectant mother (massages, braiding, etc.)
Symbolic offerings to the mother-to-be
A gentle and enveloping closing time
DURATION : APPROXIMATELY 4 HOURS
350 € for a circle of 6 PARTICIPANTS, including the mother-to-be
+ 50 € per ADDITIONAL PERSON (maximum 10 people in total)
Why this format?
Because INTIMACY is at the heart of this celebration. A small circle enables everyone to take their place, offer their words, their presence, their listening. The small group preserves the "cocoon" aspect of this celebration, which is so conducive to creating bonds.
Offering or receiving a Mama Blessing is to gift yourself
with a memory that stays.
It’s taking a break from the rush of everyday life
to CELEBRATE A WOMAN ABOUT TO GIVE LIFE, simply.
I would be honored to create this moment with you.
I’ve had several lives before becoming a doula. Motherhood helped me reconnect with what truly matters.
I felt called to more humanity and wanted to practice a meaningful profession, using my sensitivity and empathy to serve expectant and new mothers.
